Leave it to Taylor Swift to give Stranger Things fans something of a special little treat ahead of Stranger Things Day. No, the Grammy-winning superstar didn’t reveal the season 4 release date, but she did announce Sadie Sink will star in her “All Too Well” short film.

Stranger Things fans know Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield from the hit Netflix original series, and the 19-year-old actress also starred in summer 2021’s blockbuster Netflix horror movies Fear Street Part 2: 1978 and Fear Street Part 3: 1666 as Ziggy Berman.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait until 2022 to see more of Sadie Sink when Stranger Things season 4 finally drops. Taylor Swift called on the young star’s talents for the short film for her fan-favorite song “All Too Well,” which will be a showstopper from her album re-release Red (Taylor’s Version).

For all the details on when to watch Sink star in Taylor Swift’s short film, along with who will be starring alongside the Stranger Things standout and who’s in the director’s chair for the highly anticipated clip, we’re sharing everything you need to know about this incredible crossover.

Sadie Sink stars in Taylor Swift’s All Too Well short film

On Nov. 5, one week before the eagerly awaited release of Swift’s second album re-recording Red (Taylor’s Version), the singer shocked fans by announcing on her social channels that Nov. 12 wouldn’t just mark the release of new(ish) music… there’s also a short film.

As with any Taylor Swift release, rumors had been swirling that she had been planning much more than she was letting on, and she finally let the cat out of the bag. To accompany “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” Swift wrote and directed a short film starring Sink and Dylan O’Brien.

If you’re even a casual Taylor Swift fan, then you know “All Too Well” has been a seminal classic for the music icon since its original release on Red in 2012. The fact that it’s getting its due with a short film starring two talented performers is nothing short of amazing.

In tandem with the announcement, Swift also unveiled a 30-second preview of the short film, but we didn’t catch a glimpse of Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien just yet. The teaser shows a car driving down a fittingly autumnal street, and we can’t wait to see this love story play out.

Are you excited to see Sadie Sink in Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” short film, or are you even more excited for Stranger Things season 4? Stay tuned for more season 4 news and updates, and catch the short film on Friday, Nov. 12.
