Here is all the information subscribers need to know about how to play video games on Netflix.

Netflix continues to expand its empire with the introduction of video games. It was announced back in July 2021 via Bloomberg that the streamer would be joining the gaming craze by offering its members interactive adventures, aka video games through its platform.

The streaming wars have become more competitive than ever, and this maneuver is a bold strategy to offer new customers a service that Disney, Peacock, Paramount+, and HBO do not have on the menu. This news will undeniably be intriguing for the 214 million subscribers the streamer has as well as anybody on the fence about signing up for a subscription.

For those out there excited to finally be able to play video games on Netflix and would like to know everything about how to enjoy this new feature available, please read on!

How can subscribers play video games on Netflix?

Right now, subscribers can only play the games via the Netflix app on Android mobile devices. When players log in, they will see a dedicated row for the video games that are currently accessible.

There they can determine which game to play and enjoy whatever challenge the particular title has to offer. There will be no additional cost to play the games as they are included with the subscription, and there will also be no advertising seen while playing. Also, the games will not be available on Kid’s profiles and will require a PIN in order for them to be played. It is also planned for some to be played offline.

The list of games that are available to play includes Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, and Teeter Up. There are also two titles linked to the hit Netflix series Stranger Things called Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The Game.

It was not announced as to when the games will be available to play on TV and if they will be offering their own controller like Apple’s Arcade, Google’s Stadia, or Amazon’s Luna.
