The Witcher season 2 trailer gives us more intensity

The Witcher season 2 is less than two months away, and Netflix has treated us to the official trailer for the season. It’s sure to get you excited for the upcoming story.

Our three main characters are the big focus for the trailer. We get to see where Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer are.

Yes, Yennefer is back. You didn’t think she’s just be killed off without any closure, did you? She’ll start off as a prisoner of war, but it’s clear that there’s something bigger for her to come. She wants to make sure nobody becomes a pawn in their own war like she likely feels she once became.

How long will it take for Geralt to learn that she’s actually alive? He believes her dead, and he’s moved his focus on caring for Ciri. Just how guilty will he feel when he realizes that she has been a prisoner of war for some time?

The Witcher season 2 sees Geralt train Ciri

At the end of the first season, Geralt and Ciri finally found each other. Now it’s time for their bond to grow. That’s something the trailer offers a look at.

Ciri doesn’t trust anyone, which means she’s not immediately going to open up to Geralt. He may look similar to her, but that doesn’t mean he is someone that she can rely on. After everything she’s been through, trust is never going to come that easy.

There is a glimpse of her getting a sword to train. We’ll get to see some of that during the season.

In fact, during the summer TCA panel, we heard that Freya Allan did learn sword fighting for the second season, and Lauren Hissrich explained during the panel that Allan regularly shared updates of her sword-fighting lessons.

Ciri will need to learn to protect herself and control the powers she has. There’s still a civil war. We get a glimpse of the north and south at war with each other still, and Geralt shares that the land wasn’t for people. Monsters are coming out of the woodwork, monsters that should be long gone.

One thing The Witcher season 2 trailer shows us is that there’s going to be a lot more action. Get ready for bigger fight scenes, more magic, and more intensity.
