There is no denying that Stephen King’s It miniseries is a terrifying endeavor, and the miniseries it’s based on is even more so, making it an ideal watch on Netflix if the streamer has it occupying a place within its library.

King’s book has given readers nightmares for decades, and the 2017 remake directed by The Flash movie’s Andy Muschetti scared up some seriously impressive box office numbers. But for some, the classic take on Pennywise the Clown and the madness that ensues with his arrival seen in the 1990 TV miniseries is the only way to experience the horror.

The haunting tale of The Losers Club trying to survive and outwit a menacing beast that feeds off of fear as both kids and is absolutely a worthwhile endeavor for fans of old-school horror. Starring in these two frightening entries is Tim Curry, John Ritter, Harry Anderson, Dennis Christopher, Annette O’Toole, Seth Green, Emily Perkins, Jonathon Brandis, Tim Reid, Richard Thomas, and Richard Masur.

Pennywise is definitely a nightmarish monster that is one of the scariest the small screen has ever had in play, especially thanks to Curry’s brilliant performance. So it’s not shocking to discover that the original adaptation is on people’s watch list, and Netflix subscribers are probably wondering if it’s available on the streaming service.

Is the It miniseries available on Netflix?

While it would be nice to enjoy the chaos that ensues when Pennywise is around, it’s important to remember that not every nightmare comes true. Unfortunately, many subscribers will feel like they are in their own Losers Club when they hear the news that the It miniseries is not available on Netflix.

The lack of Pennywise on the streamer is downright nightmare-inducing, but when one wakes up and realizes there are other horror options available, things don’t seem so bad. Some of the exceptional scary endeavors include Blood Red Sky, Midnight Mass, Stranger Things, and The Ritual, just to name a few.

Where you can watch It

The It miniseries does not have a home on any of the subscription streamings services. It is, however, available on VOD services such as Vudu and Apple TV.
