It’s a new weekend, which means you have time to watch all the movies and shows that dropped this week. Here are five good movies on Netflix to check out.

There are high chances that you’re spending the weekend watching some of the bit Netflix Original drops. Locke and Key season 2 has arrived on Netflix today, and there’s no doubt that’s on the list of must-watch shows.

But what if you don’t have time to check out a full season of a series? You may have time for a movie or two, and there have been some great releases throughout October. We’re narrowed down the list for the weekend.

5 must-watch movies on Netflix this weekend

Night Teeth

We start with the release of a new Netflix Original movie. In fact, the first three on the list are new Netflix movies. Night Teeth follows a college student who moonlights as a chauffeur. When he picks up two mysterious women looking forward to a night of party-hopping, things take a dark turn.

He soon finds out these women have bloodthirsty intentions. Now he needs to fight to survive the shadowy underworld he finds himself in. It’s a great option as we get closer to Halloween.

In for a Murder

For those who love true-crime, you’ll want to check out this comedic thriller. The polish movie follows a stay-at-home mom who adores true-crime and mystery novels. Naturally, she thinks of herself as her local Miss Maple when it comes to a case.

In this case, there’s a murder in her local town. She’ll get to figure out all the secrets people around her keep. Just how well do you know your neighbors?

Stuck Together

We’ve all lived through the pandemic and had to deal with just our own little bubbles for a while. Some of our bubbles didn’t make it through the stress, while others succeeded considerably.

Stuck Together gives us a comedy set in Paris during the pandemic. Families are confined to their apartments, but just how are they going to make it through?

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life

If you’re looking for action, you’ll want to turn your attention to one of the movies on Netflix from earlier this month. Lara Croft is one of the most popular gaming franchises going, and it was turned into a movie.

The Cradle of Life is the 2003 movie with Angelina Jolie in the titular role. Yes, it’s the sequel to her 2001 movie and it’s not as good. It is worth putting on during the weekend when you just need something fun and light.

Ghost

Need a romance? There are some great options on Netflix, and one of the must-watches this month is Ghost. There’s just no telling how long it will remain on the streamer.

There’s no need to introduce this movie. You’ve likely seen it a hundred times before. If you haven’t, well, you need to get onto it. Patrick Swayze stars as a man who is killed and returns as a ghost. He needs to help the love of his life move on with her life while figuring out how to accept death in the first place.
