A new season of Riverdale brings with it tons of questions and endless possibilities for the latest batch of crazy events to befall the titular small town. Riverdale season 6 promises lots of unexpected twists and highly anticipated visitors.

After the Riverdale season 5 finale, the stakes are higher than ever for the floundering small town, which could still crumble into a million pieces thanks to none other than Hiram Lodge. But there’s plenty to look forward to, especially if you’re a Barchie fan.

Riverdale season 6 premieres on The CW on Tuesday, Nov. 16 with a five-episode event. The season will then return with the remainder of the episodes in 2022 and hopefully answer any of the lingering cliffhangers from the season-opening event.

In a new trailer for season 6, Betty and Archie appear to be heating up their newly rekindled romance, and there’s even some talk of having a baby. Could Barchie be making some fans’ dreams come true and starting a family in season 6?

Is Betty having Archie’s baby in Riverdale season 6?

Obviously, we can’t yet confirm or deny whether Betty and Archie will have a baby in Riverdale season 6, but her message to him in the official trailer was rather clear: “There’s nothing more that I want than to have your baby.” What?!

Considering the controversial couple was merely getting back together in the season 5 finale, there was really no indication that either of them were prepared to start a family so soon. Sure, they wanted their relationship to be real, but this is real quick.

Of course, you can’t believe everything you see when it comes to Riverdale, and this quote could be a red herring. This five-episode event has been said to lean a bit more into the horror genre. Who knows what the powers that be actually have in store for these characters.

What we can almost guarantee for Betty and Archie is that season 6 won’t be a normal courtship for the rekindled pair. As steamy as those first looks at their relationship might be, a blood splattered Archie and a blood splattered Betty (two different scenes, if you can believe it) lend toward another unpredictable season.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Kiernan Shipka makes her debut appearance as her Chilling Adventures of Sabrina character Sabrina Spellman opposite an increasingly witchy Cheryl. We don’t anticipate Sabrina will have much to do with the potential Barchie baby, but you never know with Riverdale.
