The latest season of the hit Netflix original series You finally premiered and brought back a whole lot of crazy in the form of Joe and Love. We could hardly keep up with the twists and turns in season 3, and now we’re all ready for You season 4.

Of course, You season 3 premiered on Oct. 15 and picked up in the aftermath of the second season. However, the series managed to turn up the volume on its unpredictability all the way, culminating in a jaw-dropping conclusion we’re still processing.

Thankfully, Netflix has already confirmed You season 4 is happening, which we figured since the series perfectly sets up another round of mayhem with everyone’s favorite stalker. Joe’s somewhere new, potentially posing as someone new, but will a certain someone cross paths with him?

If you haven’t watched You season 3, you’re probably wondering what Emily in Paris has to do with You and how these shows could even be connected. You’re probably wondering that even if you have watched You season 3, so let’s break it down.

Spoilers from You season 3 ahead!

Will Emily in Paris be in You season 4?

In the final moments of You season 3, Joe winds up in Paris, France following the unbelievable and deadly season-ending chaos. He’s going by the name Nick and waiting for Marienne and her daughter. Before he eventually returns to the United States, will he pal around with Emily Cooper?

Obviously, an Emily in Paris crossover in You season 4 is highly, highly unlikely, but that won’t stop us from entertaining the possibility. After all, what could be funnier than Joe randomly popping up in the background of one of Emily’s Instagram selfies?

Well, it’s probably not as funny as we think, since we don’t want Emily to become the next object of Joe Goldberg’s obsession. And since the shows are of two completely different tones, there’s no way Netflix will exploit this French connection for even a brief crossover.

Still, we wouldn’t say no to Penn Badgley making an uncredited, seconds-long cameo in an episode of Emily in Paris, just walking past our girl on the street or vice versa. Imagine You and Emily in Paris existing in the same cinematic universe… Stranger things have happened.
