Does Gil die in You season 3?

You season 3 was released on Netflix on Oct. 15, and fans are loving the new season. It’s not surprising because this season was even more intense than the previous seasons. There were new characters introduced, and some fell victim to Joe and Love’s murderous ways. Is Gil one of their victims?

Many people are watching You season 3 and enjoy seeing this amazingly twisted TV show become more twisted. Just when we thought Joe wanted to live a more simple, murder-free life, things become complicated, and he falls backs into his old ways.

However, not every character that dies in season 3 of You dies at the hands of the Quinn-Goldbergs. And while some new characters remain untouched, others live to fight another day. So does the new character, Gil, die in You season 3? Keep reading because we’re going to tell you if he dies in the popular Netflix original.

Does Gil die in You season 3?

Yes. If you were thinking he was going to be Joe and Love’s next victim, you weren’t the only one. Surprisingly, Joe and/or Love didn’t kill Gil.

Gil apologizes to Love for exposing Henry, Love and Joe’s baby, to measles. His children are unvaccinated against measles and exposed Henry at a party. Henry gets very ill, but he makes it through. Joe and Love suffer quite the scare.

After Gil apologizes, Love hits him in the head with a rolling pin, obviously, and Joe and Love trap Gil in the glass cage in the basement of Love’s bakery. We thought that would be the last we saw of him. However, Joe makes it clear to Love that he’s not going to kill Gil.  So, they figured out another way to handle him.

They decided to blackmail him into submission. They found some dark information about Gil’s family and threatened to reveal the information to the public if he went to the police. After showing Gil what they found, Joe and Love leave Gil by himself in the cage to give him some time to think about their proposition. Gil, not able to live with what his son did, dies by suicide.

After cleaning up Love’s mess at the beginning of the season, they vowed never to kill again. They didn’t kill Gil, but they had to figure out how to dispose of his body. So their goal of living a normal life goes down the drain once again. Gil’s death would be the second death that Joe and Love had some type of involvement in season 3.
