We’re finally getting new information on The Killer, and we’re happy that this Netflix movie is moving forward after a long hiatus. We tell you everything we know about this upcoming film right down below.

The Killer is an action film written by Andrew Kevin Walker and directed by Mank‘s David Fincher. This isn’t Fincher and Walker’s first collaboration. They worked together on the ’90s film Seven in the past. If their work on Seven is anything to go by, we expect The Killer to be a must-watch.

The thriller is based on the French graphic novel titled the same name by Alexis Nolent. It’s a part of Fincher’s four-year deal with Netflix, and we can’t wait to see what other content Fincher will create for the streamer.

The Killer filming updates

Fincher’s upcoming movie has officially wrapped filming. The news comes from an Instagram post shared by dolly grip Dwayne Barr.

Here is Barr’s caption:

The Killer release date

Make sure to mark your calendar and clear your schedule because The Killer arrives on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023. As always, you can expect the action thriller to drop at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on Nov. 10.

The film will also arrive in select theaters in October.

Filming took place in various places all over the world. We’re not sure what the budget is for this film, but if we had to guess, we’d say it’s more on the expensive side. I mean, production took place across multiple continents and countries.

The Killer plot

An official synopsis hasn’t been released by Netflix yet, but we have an idea of what the film is about based on the movie’s source material (book). Check out The Killer‘s novel logline via Amazon down below:

Netflix released the official logline for the movie, and we shared it below.
