Dead to Me season 2 provides a gut-punch of emotions, thrills, and endless surprises. Fans who anticipated the new episodes were quick to binge-watch them all as soon as the new season premiered. Ever since, we have been curious about the Dead to Me season 3 release date and more.

Although Dead to Me season 3 remained in production much longer than fans are used to for a few reasons, we’re finally gearing up for the long-awaited release of the final season this fall. Jen and Judy are BACK to end this vicious cycle once and for all!

Dead to Me season 3 is one of the most anticipated shows of 2022, and we can’t wait to see how the story comes to an end. It’s been over two years since we last watch new episodes of the series, but by the end of the year, we’ll know how the series comes to an end.

Dead to Me season 3 release date

During Netflix’s TUDUM fan event, James Marsden appeared to introduce the trailer for Dead to Me’s final season, which also revealed the release date. Prepare to see how it all ends when Dead to Me season 3 premieres on Thursday, Nov. 17.

With how things in season 2 ended and based on the popularity of the series, Dead to Me getting renewed for a third season was pretty much a guarantee. Usually, we would have expected the final season to premiere around the same time as the other seasons, but this hasn’t been a typical year.

Although the cast and crew started filming season 3 in May 2021, production was “temporarily paused” in order to respect Applegate’s privacy. Netflix released a statement in support of Applegate and allowing her the time she needs. The season also faced delays and setbacks due to the pandemic throughout its production in 2021.

Dead to Me season 3 cast

Spoiler alert! If you are not caught up on both seasons of the black comedy, please note there are spoilers ahead on the fate of the characters.

It’s a guarantee that Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini will return to reprise their roles of Jen and Judy, respectively. This story is, after all, about the two women and their strong bond. Not to mention, they are not out of the water just yet after the death of Steve (James Marsden).

Speaking of James Marsden, the handsome actor will also return to reprise the role of Steve in flashbacks, and Ben (Steve’s twin brother) in present time.

Brandon Scott’s character Nick is also very much still involved in the mystery as is Detective Perez, portrayed by Diana-Maria Riva. We’ll likely see Jen’s children, too.

Michelle (Natalie Morales) didn’t show up in the last couple of episodes, we’re not sure if that chapter is closed or if she’ll be back.

Dead to Me season 3 synopsis

In the final moments of Dead to Me season 2, Jen and Judy were in a car accident. The person who hit them was none other than Ben, who shockingly leaves the scene. Season 3 will likely continue this issue as Jen and Judy try to learn more about who hit their car.

As previously mentioned, the mysterious disappearance of Steve has also not been solved. We assume his body was found, this is why Ben was intoxicated when he hit the car, but we’re still not sure about the details.
