Is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina coming back?

Ever since Chilling Adventures of Sabrina aired its final season in December 2020, fans have been wondering whether the teen witch would make a comeback. After all, the series had so much more story to tell with Sabrina Spellman.

Ironically, there has been talk lately of the ’90s sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch returning for a reboot starring Melissa Joan Hart, but that turned out to be a case of rumors run rampant. Can the same be said for the modern-day Sabrina in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

The answer here might be a bit more complicated. Even though Netflix canceled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the Archieverse remains very much alive thanks to The CW’s hit series Riverdale, and fans have been beginning for a crossover for years.

Finally, their calls for Sabina to make the trip from Greendale to Riverdale have been heard, and Kiernan Shipka will reprise her role in Riverdale season 6. But does this mean that the series from which Sabrina hails will also be returning?

Will there be a part 5 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

Currently, there don’t appear to be any official plans from Netflix to bring CAOS back for another season or some kind of special or movie. For now, Shipka’s appearance in Riverdale season 6 appears to be a one-off guest spot in episode 4.

The long-awaited crossover event was announced on Oct. 7 following the Riverdale season 5 finale with a photo of Shipka on set and in character as Sabrina.

Although Chilling Adventures of Sabrina may not be making a comeback in tandem with the crossover, Sabrina’s triumphant return looks to be an exciting one. As Cheryl steps into her witch ancestry, Sabrina lends a helping hand in the dark five-episode event that kicks off season 6.

In this day and age, we can never say never, though. Perhaps Shipka’s return will be so well-received that Netflix will opt to further expand the universe and bring CAOS back for a new episode, Halloween special or movie — but that’s just our wish list.
