Best Seinfeld episodes

Seinfeld is finally here!

The long-awaited moment of Seinfeld arriving on Netflix has finally happened. All nine seasons of the show are available to watch on Netflix as of Oct. 1.

Whether it is the first time watching or it is another rewatch, viewers need to prepare for the classic sitcom. We are here to help with that process.

Here are the nine best Seinfeld episodes to check out on Netflix.

“The Contest”

Seinfeld season 4 episode 11, “The Contest,” is one of the show’s all-time greatest episodes. Covering the taboo topic of masturbation, the show weaves in a multitude of euphemisms to refrain from ever saying the word — and to sneak past television censors.

George is “caught” by his mother and proceeds to recount the story to the other three at the coffee shop. True to themselves, Jerry suggests making a contest out of it, seeing who can last the longest.

The entire episode centers around the group resisting temptation in numerous ways while attempting to stay “master of their domains.”

“The Soup Nazi”

Seinfeld season 7 episode 6 is an iconic episode as it introduced a character that has continued to live on in the world far past the air date. “The Soup Nazi” follows the group as they encounter a tyrannical soup restaurant owner dubbed, The Soup Nazi.

Kramer befriends him, Jerry and George love the soup and Elaine is banished from the store. Through a series of events, Elaine develops a plan to seek revenge. This Seinfeld episode introduced the phrase, “No soup for you!” into society’s vocabulary.
