17 kids shows and movies coming to Netflix in October 2021

Hello, Netflix Lifers! We’re back with another kids-centric watch list as we roll into October and Netflix releases more stellar content for the youngins to enjoy.

You’ll want to mark your calendar for the streamer’s kid-friendly spooky titles like Are You Afraid of the Dark and A Tale Dark & Grimm considering Halloween is around the corner. However, there are also some non-holiday kids shows and movies making their land as well including a 2000s classic.

The most anticipated release is the second season of The Babysitters Club. The feel good series, based on the popular books by Ann M. Martin, is all about friendship, life lessons, and coming-of-age. The show is a part of Netflix’s tween programming which has seen consistent growth over the years.

Also on deck is a new Pokemon movie called Secrets of the Jungle which will see Ash and Pikachu on a jungle adventure where they meet Koko, a young boy who’s Tarzan-like in the sense that he’s only known of Pokemon not humans like himself.

For children who love action and plots heavy with intrigue and fight sequences, the Spy Kids trilogy is making its land in October as is the Jaden Smith-led reboot of The Karate Kid with Jackie Chan as his mentor and the first season of Power Rangers Dino Fury.

The Babysitters Club–Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, Dawn Schafer, Mary-Anne Spier, and Kristy Thomas–welcome two new members in season 2. Mallory Pike and Jessi Ramsey are about to find out what it means to be a part of this tight knit group’s booming business that’s continuing to grow. However, as the girls thrive with the club they’ll also be dealing with a new school year that’s set take them all on personal journeys of discovery, usher in new relationships, and teach them important lessons.
