Stranger Things season 4: Who is Victor Creel?

Stranger Things is introducing a whole bunch of new characters in season 4. There are so many new cast members in Stranger Things season 4, so we thought it’d be a great idea to share what we know about these new characters and cast members while we wait for Stranger Things season 4 to be released.

In November 2020, Netflix announced eight new characters and who will be playing those characters. On that list was one Victor Creel, and the character will be played by a horror legend!

Who plays Victor Creel in Stranger Things?

Victor Creel will be played by horror legend, Robert Englund.

Englund is best known for playing Freddy Kreuger in The Nightmare on Elm Street movies.

It’s so awesome that the Duffer Brothers, Netflix, and the whole Stranger Things team was able to get Englund for this role. I can’t wait to see how this plays out in Stranger Things season 4.

Who is Victor Creel in Stranger Things season 4?

For a long time, we didn’t know much about Victor Creel, but that’s quite different now.

When the character and Englund were announced, Netflix shared a short character description for Victor Creel.

According to Netflix, Creel is “a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.”

At that point in time, we didn’t have a lot to go on or context for what Creel’s role would be in Stranger Things season 4. That’s all changing with the latest teaser for Stranger Things.

Netflix is sharing a new teaser trailer at TUDUM on Saturday, Sept. 25, and it appears that the trailer will be about Victor Creel. In the teaser for the “003” trailer for Stranger Things season 4, we learned more about Creel.

The teaser is only a series of newspaper articles about Creel. If you slow it down and read the text in the articles, you’d learn some interesting information about Creel. He lived in Hawkins. And, it’s not hard to figure out his family was killed by something, possibly him or possibly a “vengeful demon,” as Creel claims in the story.

It sounds rather familiar to one Billy Hargrove, doesn’t it? Had Billy survived the Mind Flayer in Stranger Things season 3, what would he have told the authorities? How could he possibly describe what happened to him in a way anyone could understand?

We’ll have to wait and see more until we really get a read on Victor Creel, but that’s what we know so far.

Stranger Things season 4 release date on Netflix is scheduled for next year.

It’s already one of the best Netflix shows coming in 2022. We can’t wait to see the new season!
