With the spooky season nearly upon us, many are wondering what TV show or movie they should watch in preparation for this year’s scare-fest, and while Chilling Adventures of Sabrina — created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the mind also behind Riverdale, Katy Keen, and the highly-anticipated revival of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin — may have been ended prematurely by Netflix in 2020, it’s still one of our favorite Halloween-binge-worthy series to watch.

But if you’re not a horror fan and are wondering just how scary the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (CAOS) could be, we’ve got you covered! Read on to find out if CAOS is a show for you!

Is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina scary?

This is a bit of a hard question, as everyone’s fear tolerance differs, but considering I’m a total horror wimp, we’d say no! You’re good to go.

While CAOS has much darker and often gory undertones and themes compared to Sabrina the Teenage Witch, we would definitely say that this is one horror-flick that can be stomached by most!

But be warned, there are still a few jump scares that caught us off guard, plus a fair amount of blood, gore, and demonic possessions throughout that aren’t too pleasant to watch, so maybe grab a pillow, or a friend, to hide behind for those scenes.

Is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina good?

Well, duh! Of course, it’s good! CAOS is the perfect combination between horror, drama, and comedy and we would be very surprised if you don’t enjoy the addictively dark and sexy series.

The one and the only thing about the show that many don’t like is Netflix’s decision to end the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina after Part 4, which left many fans of the show deflated and disappointed with the decision.

Fans were so disappointed by the news following its cancelation, that they launched an online petition — something fans of Lucifer also did when the show was first canceled by Fox — in an attempt to save the show. But despite getting over 360,000 signatures, the series was not saved.

But it’s not all bad news we suppose, as earlier this year CAOS‘ creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that he plans to pick up where the Kiernan Shipka-starring Netflix series left off in Part 4 in a brand new comic book series, titled The Occult World Of Sabrina, which is due to be released in October.

So, if you do end up bingeing Chilling Adventures of Sabrina at least you can be assured you can still get a satisfying ending, just in another form!
