Is Ghostbusters: Afterlife on Netflix?

After decades of waiting, fans are finally getting a sequel to the ’80s Ghostbusters film, and many Netflix subscribers are very eager to find out if Ghostbusters: Afterlife is available to stream on Netflix?

The newest movie in the Ghostbusters legacy takes place many years after the event of the first two films, and many people, besides their loyal fanbase, have all but forgotten about the titular team of ghost removal experts. In the new story, the late Egon’s daughter and her children move to a rural area where the Ghostbuster founder mysteriously relocated.

The town they visit has strange earthquakes despite not being located on any fault with strange things happening in a mine that allegedly belonged to Ivo Shandor, who fans that played the Ghostbusters video game know that he is the head of the cult of Gozer. Gozer was the main villain of the first Ghostbusters film that turned into the Stay Puft Marshmallow man.

Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts and Ernie Hudson all reprise their roles in Ghostbuster: Afterlife, with Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon and Paul Rudd joining the franchise. Knowing all of this, there seems to be a lot of great reasons to check out this sequel, and it’s no surprise Netflix subscribers are hoping it’s on the menu.

Is Ghostbusters: Afterlife available on Netflix?

There are so many great movies on the menu when it comes to what Netflix has to offer its many subscribers. But it is unfortunate to report that Ghostbusters: Afterlife is not one of them, and there are no plans whatsoever for that to change any time in the near future.

There are, however, many other great titles to enjoy this Halloween on the streamer. Blood Red Sky, Hubie Halloween, Vampires vs. the Bronx and The Haunting of Bly Manor are just some of the exceptional options available right now!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife will only be available in theaters, pending any unfortunate delays, on Nov. 19, 2021. It is not currently slated to be available on any streaming service on the same day as with Black Widow on Disney+ or Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max.
