Netflix subscribers know Vanessa Lachey as the co-host of the reality dating show Love is Blind, but the actress’ latest project sees her as Special Agent Jane Tennant in NCIS: Hawai’i.

The series made its debut on Monday, Sept. 20, taking viewers of the NCIS franchise to the Pearl Harbor branch of the organization. Tennant is a no nonsense, get things done operative who closes her cases how she sees fit even if it rides roughshod over what the brass wants.

Her team of specialists are like family to her. They’re the glue of her operation, and she’d do anything for them. Protective doesn’t even begin describe the way Tennant is with her people and her kids. When you work with her, it’s a team effort. The buck stops with Tennant but her team is a unit. No one’s going rogue or fashioning themselves as a lone wolf.

Tennant and the team’s first case involves an experimental naval aircraft crash. They’re in a race against time to track down the person behind the incident. If they don’t, classified state secrets could be exposed putting the nation’s security at risk.
