Is The Resident on Netflix?

Many people would say medical drama series are their guilty pleasures, but for us, it’s just our favorite genre to watch. The Resident is one of our favorite TV shows to watch besides Grey’s Anatomy, and we’re counting down the days until season 5 airs on FOX.

Since The Resident has been on air since 2018, it’s okay to wonder if this popular drama series is on Netflix. I mean, it may not be on Grey’s Anatomy level, but this show is doing pretty well for itself.

The series is based on the book Unaccountable by Marty Makary and follows the lives of staff members at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital.

Remember, this is a drama series, so drama occurs a lot in this show. From staff members falling in and out of love with each other to character deaths, this TV show doesn’t shy away from the drama. And we love every second of it!

Is The Resident on Netflix?

We hate to tell you that the drama series is not on Netflix, and it doesn’t look like we’ll ever see the series on the streamer in the foreseeable future.

In 2017, Netflix and FOX ended their business deal, and FOX removed most of their shows from the streamer. This is why you don’t see any new FOX shows on Netflix.

But don’t feel sad because you can watch similar shows to The Resident on your favorite streamer right now, like Grey’s Anatomy, The Night Shift, Chicago Med and Private Practice.

You can watch all four seasons of The Resident on Hulu if you have a subscription. The fifth season premieres on FOX on Sept. 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT.
