A new week is here and with it comes a bunch of new movies and movies on Netflix.

Whether you’re looking for a new season of a Netflix original series, a new horror series that will have you hiding under the covers, or a new Netflix movie, the streaming service has a little something for everyone this week.

Let’s get to the list, but first, we picked a couple of new Netflix shows you need to watch.

New Netflix movies and shows

The fourth and final season of Dear White People hits Netflix on Wednesday, Sept. 22. The series follows a group of Black college students at the fictional Winchester University as they deal with school, relationships, and racism on campus.

But this final season won’t be like the others. This season will be a musical featuring lots of 90s-themed songs. The creator, Justin Simien, explained the change:

"It felt like the perfect way to distil the metaphor of having to put on a show as a person of color, of having to sort of tap dance for people, of finding a way to express what’s really inside."

This week also brings the much-anticipated Midnight Mass. The limited series comes to Netflix on Friday, Sept. 24. The series tells the story of a small island community and what happens when a young priest arrives in town.

Since this show comes to us from the creator of The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor, Mike Flanagan, you know nothing good is coming to this town. It’s going to be weird and it’s going to scare your pants off.

The Starling starring Melissa McCarthy, Timothy Olyphant, and Chris O’Dowd also hits Netflix this week on Friday, Sept. 24. The film follows Lilly Maynard who, after suffering a loss, finds a starling outside her home.

The bird is not nice and while trying to figure out how to get rid of it, she finds ways to deal with her grief and begin to live life again. Besides the bird, she also finds some help from a vet/former therapist played by Kevin Kline.

This week also brings season 2 of Love on the Spectrum on Tuesday, Sept. 21, and Confessionals of an Invisible Girl and Jaguar on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
