Lucifer season 6, confirmed as the final season, released on Netflix Sept. 10, much to the satisfaction of the show’s fanbase. Less than a week later, Lucifer is currently trending as the most popular show on Netflix.

With so many questions left unanswered after Lucifer season 5 ended, fans were eager to receive answers. Those questions and so many more have been answered in Lucifer season 6. Released as a 10-episode season, Lucifer season 6 is shorter in length compared to the 16-episode, 2-part season 5.

Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, a powerful angel banished from Heaven for his rebellious behavior. After growing bored of his life in Hell, he heads to Los Angeles where he opens a nightclub and eventually becomes a consultant for the LAPD. Working in tandem with Detective Chloe Decker, played by Lauren German, the pair encounters supernatural beings during their quest to bring criminals to justice.

Previously canceled by Fox, Netflix revived Lucifer starting with season 4. The previous two installments of the franchise, as well as Lucifer season 6, have garnered strong reviews from both critics and online aggregate review websites.

Lucifer has received multiple award nominations and victories throughout its run, with its transition to Netflix changing very little about the show’s quality.
