Will Outer Banks season 3 be announced at TUDUM?

Outer Banks is one of the best Netflix shows of 2021 so far! It’s probably the best Netflix show of the summer.

Netflix still hasn’t announced Outer Banks season 3, and fans are growing a little impatient about the future of the Netflix original series. We all want to know if and when Outer Banks season 3 is happening.

We all need an update on season 3!

With TUDUM at the end of September 2021, we want to take a look at Outer Banks season 3 getting announced during the fan event.

What is TUDUM Netflix?

Apparently, this “tudum” is the sound that plays before your Netflix show or movie begins when the Netflix logo begins. TUDUM is a Netflix fan event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021. Starting at 9 a.m. PT, Netflix is sharing release dates, renewal news, other news, trailers, Q&As, and more for your favorite Netflix shows.

Netflix announced more than 70 movies and shows will be included, including Ozark, Stranger Things, Shadow and Bone, Bridgerton, The Umbrella Academy, Sex Education, and many more. There are also more than 140 Netflix stars involved, including Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Jason Bateman, Lily Collins, and so many more!

Obviously, with fans waiting for Outer Banks season 3 news, it makes sense that everyone would expect Outer Banks to be at TUDUM. So, will we find out about Outer Banks season 3 at TUDUM?

Is Outer Banks at TUDUM?

Outer Banks is not on the list of Netflix shows that will be involved with TUDUM. It’s also notable that none of the Outer Banks stars are on the list of cast members joining the event.

Netflix has not announced the full list of attendees, but you’d think that with Outer Banks being one of the most popular Netflix shows, that Netflix would want to market the event to Outer Banks fans.

Still, we’re still hopeful that Netflix will have a surprise for Outer Banks fans and include the show in the event.

We could even find out the Outer Banks season 3 renewal news. There’s still a lot of time for that to happen before or after TUDUM.

When will Outer Banks be renewed for season 3?

The good news is that it already sounds like Outer Banks season 3 is in the works at Netflix!

Small Screen reported that the creative team is already writing the third (AND FOURTH) season.

This is obviously excellent for fans of the Netflix original series, but nothing is official until Netflix makes the announcement. We’ve been burned by reports and rumors before, but I don’t think that’s what is happening here.

Outer Banks is so popular. Season 2 was so good. Netflix can’t just cancel this show right now.

When is Outer Banks season 3 coming out?

Small Screen is also reporting that a source close to production mentioned that Outer Banks season 3 is expected to arrive in mid-2022.

We shared the quote from the source, via Small Screen:

"“We’re finishing up the scripts for Seasons 3 and 4. Season 3 should start filming this year and be out towards the middle of 2022 – if all goes to plan.”"

This is obviously great news! If production starts soon, we could definitely be back with these great characters in July 2022. That’s the best-case scenario for Outer Banks season 3 release date. It should be one of the best Netflix shows of 2022, no doubt.
