Is Scenes from a Marriage on Netflix? Where to watch the show online
By Sabrina Reed
Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain are reunited in the drama Scenes from a Marriage which makes its premiere today, Sept. 12. The limited series, which sees the two starring as a married couple whose marriage could be painfully coming to an end, will take viewers into the home and lives of Mira and Jonathan.
The last time Isaac and Chastain played opposite one another was in the 2014 movie, A Most Violent Year. The pair were married in that film as well, however, Scenes from a Marriage will take a more intimate and emotional looking at not only marriage but also relationship dynamics in general.
Mira and Jonathan love one another but that love has been challenged by loss and sacrifice. As their relationship begins to sour no matter how hard Jonathan fights for it, the series begins to reveal that there aren’t just cracks in the couple’s bond.
There are things they haven’t told one another from desires to fears and truths they’re only just beginning to acknowledge. The series promises to be a thought-provoking and uncomfortable examination of a marriage possibly at its end.
