Will there be an Outer Banks season 4?

We’re nearly two months removed from Outer Banks season 2’s premiere on Netflix and, as is typical for this original series, it left us with higher stakes and even more questions on where this show is going to go next.

Despite season 3 not being confirmed yet, we already have our thoughts set on the future of the series. Just how far can this story stretch? At this point, there are two treasures at the heart of the show with the second–The Cross of Santo Domingo–having been introduced in season 2.

There’s no doubt that a third season will take us on yet another wild ride concerning these treasures and the lengths these characters will go to claim them as their own.

Besides treasure hunting and life threatening races against time, the Pogues will also continue to navigate life, love, and parents though one in particular is about to be in for quite the life changing surprise.

There’s a lot of story still left to cover but can fans expect to see an Outer Banks season 4 after the show’s rumored return in the summer of 2022? Here’s what we know!

Is Outer Banks ending after season 3?

Rumor has it that season 3 won’t be the end of the Pogues’ journey. Small Screen reports that the writers behind the show have been hard at work on scripts for both a season 3 and season 4.

Now this, of course, doesn’t guarantee we will be seeing a fourth season of this teen drama but it sure looks likely. If that’s the case, fans of OBX could be adventuring along with the Pogues for at least another two years.
