Another action-thriller is slated to come to Netflix on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, and we’re ready to experience heightened feelings of suspense, anticipation and anxiety. But unfortunately, Prey has some competition with the action-thriller Kate releasing on the same day.

However, we think both Netflix movies will bring high viewership numbers and rank on Netflix top 10 list. The only other serious competition the thriller movie will have is Lucifer.

On Sept. 10, Lucifer season 6 also drops on the streaming platform. However, even with a hit Netflix original releasing on the same day, we still think that Prey will fare well because of its plot.

Prey is a German action-thriller movie written and directed by Thomas Sieben. The cast is comprised of mainly German actors such as David Kross, Hanno Koffler, Maria Ehrich, Yung Ngo, Livia Matthes, Nellie Thalbach and Klaus Steinbacher. There is also one Austrian actor who is a part of the cast, and his name is Robert Finster.

Now, let’s jump into what Prey is about because we know you’re curious.

Prey synopsis

Netflix provided an official synopsis for Prey. You can read it below.

"On his bachelor party weekend, Roman, his brother Albert and their friends go on a hiking trip into the wild. When the group hear gunshots nearby, they attribute them to hunters in the woods. However, they soon find themselves in a desperate bid for survival when they realize that they have fallen prey to a mysterious shooter."

We’ve definitely seen this type of movie several times before, and nine times out of 10, it’s a success with viewers. However, the action-adventure is going to have to separate itself from movies with similar plots by adding its own twists and turns.

We’re not sure how this movie will play out, but it looks very suspenseful and action-packed based on the trailer. Check out the official trailer for Prey down below.

Remember the film is in German, so if you don’t understand German, make sure to turn on the subtitles. Or you can watch the film in English by changing the audio to English. Will you be watching Prey when it lands on Netflix on Sept. 10?
