It’s one of the best weeks on Netflix in September for new content. Struggling to pick from the full list? Here are five shows and movies on Netflix to watch this week.

This week is a great week on Netflix. There are plenty of new arrivals throughout the week, and not just “I’ll watch because there’s nothing else on” type of arrivals. This is a week packed with excellent content.

The full list of arrivals can end up a little overwhelming. You don’t want to miss the big releases or the releases that promise to be must-watches.

We’ve got the top picks when it comes to shows and movies on Netflix next week. One of them is definitely already on your list, but what about the rest?

5 must-watch shows and movies on Netflix this week

This list is in release date order to make it easier to plan your content. After all, you’re going to want to plan well this week.

Into the Night

We start with something for all the horror fans out there. Into the Night season 1 is already available to stream, with the second season dropping on Wednesday, Sept. 8.

The show follows a plane full of passengers who need to remain in the night. The sun is killing everything in its path. That fight for survival continues into the second season. Can all the passengers remain out of the sun forever? Is there a way to stop the sun from killing everyone? What happens when they run out of fuel?

The Circle

There are a few reality shows on Netflix that get immediate attention, and The Circle is one of them. This dating show has an untraditional weekly release on Netflix, but season 3 starts this Wednesday, Sept. 8.

You’ll want to tune in for the new episodes each week. If you love the likes of The Bachelor and Love Island, this one is a must-watch. Not seen previous seasons? That’s okay. Like other shows, you don’t need to know too much about the contestants.

Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali

There are a lot of documentary shows and movies on Netflix. This week has a couple dropping, and the one you’ll need to watch right away is Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali.

The two men were powerhouses during the Civil Rights Movement in the ’60s. Both of them fought for rights in their own ways, drawing people in with their successes and their passions. Now is the time to find out more about them.

Watch on Thursday, Sept. 9.

Kate

Like action? Kate is the next title on the list. Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as an assassin with just 24 hours to live. She’s been poisoned, and instead of wallowing in self-pity or looking for an antidote, she’s working on revenge against her enemies.

Along the way, she comes across the child of one of her own victims. Now she needs to make amends while getting revenge. You can watch the movie on Friday, Sept. 10.

Lucifer

It’s time for the biggest release of the week. Lucifer season 6 drops on Friday, Sept. 10. This is the final season of the series. And yes, it is definitely the final season unlike the initial plans to make season 5 the last.

Lucifer is now God. What will he do in Heaven to make changes? What’s next for him and Chloe? And what about Hell? Dan is trapped there, and it’s going to be up to Lucifer, Maze, and Amenadiel to help him get out. Dan deserves Heaven.
