Julie and the Phantoms season 2: Show is ‘working hard’ with Netflix to return

Unfortunately, we’re now in September, and there’s still no word on Julie and the Phantoms season 2. We’re coming up on a year since the release of season 1, and the musical comedy’s fate is still unknown.

However, even with no new news, fans are still holding hope that they’ll see Julie and the Phantoms play once more. We encourage fans of the musical series to keep holding on because it seems that producers are still in talks. So, for now, a cancellation seems unlikely.

Back in early August, executive producer Kenny Ortega replied to a fan on Instagram asking about Julie and the Phantoms season 2. He told the fan to keep supporting the show and that the Julie and the Phantoms team are working hard with Netflix to make a season 2 happen.

It completely baffles us that this hit Netflix original hasn’t been renewed. With all of the success the TV show has achieved since its premiere, you would think it would be a no-brainer for Netflix to renew the series.

Julie and the Phantoms season 2 release date (predictions)

Even though we know that Julie and the Phantoms season 2 is not coming in September 2021, we could still get an announcement from Netflix within the next couple of weeks about the show’s fate.

At this point, we can confirm that the second season of the musical comedy-drama will not be released in 2021. Without a renewal, filming can’t take place. However, if season 2 is confirmed soon, we could be looking at a spring 2022 release date.

These are merely our predictions and a season 2 release date is contingent on a renewal announcement. As more information comes out about Julie and the Phantoms season 2, we’ll be sure to update you, so stay tuned!
