Beauty and the Beast is leaving Netflix in September 2021
With new shows and movies coming to Netflix in September, it comes as no surprise that shows and movies currently streaming on the streamer would be leaving and finding a new home elsewhere. Unfortunately, Beauty and the Beast is one of those unlucky TV shows because it will be gone from Netflix in September 2021.
We’re pretty familiar with The CW and Netflix’s licensing agreement. So, we knew that Beauty and the Beast‘s streaming run on Netflix was coming to an end soon. But honestly, we can’t even be mad because all four seasons of Beauty and the Beast have been available for streaming on Netflix since 2016.
That means you had five years to binge-watch this TV series in its entirety. That seems like a reasonable amount of time to me. However, if you haven’t watched this sci-fi series yet, you still have some time.
When is the last day to watch Beauty and the Beast on Netflix?
Beauty and the Beast is leaving Netflix on Sept. 19, 2021. This means that the last day to watch this fantasy series in full is on Sept. 18. So, from today (Aug. 30), you have two weeks and five days to get your binge on before Beauty and the Beast is gone from the streamer.
Seasons 1 and 2 consists of 22 episodes each, which may seem like a lot, but as the plot thickens, you’ll look up and find that you’re already on the final season. Those 40-minute episodes go by quicker than you think! Seasons 3 and 4 only consist of 13 episodes each, so you’ll finish those seasons in a jiffy.
Will Beauty and the Beast return to Netflix?
Probably not. It’s more likely that Beauty and the Beast will find its new home on Paramount+. According to What’s on Netflix, CBS Television has licensing rights to the suspenseful series, so it would make sense for the TV show to move over to the Paramount+ streaming platform.
Beauty and the Beast could also make its landing on HBO Max. This wouldn’t be shocking because recently, we’ve seen other CW shows move over to HBO Max after its season run ends on the network.
Let’s not focus on the fantasy series moving to another streaming platform. Instead, let’s put all of our focus on starting a binge session of all four seasons of Beauty and the Beast on Netflix before time is up!
