We’re in the last hurrah of the summer before school starts and September slips students deep into their fall semester activities. For some teens, this weekend will be the last time they can binge something without having a project deadline on their minds or an upcoming sports event.

As such, we’ve compiled a list of 7 teen shows and movies to binge watch by yourself or with friends in the lead-up to that first homeroom bell ringing in the hallway. We may be waving goodbye to the summer, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy what Netflix has on offer to settle into some school spirit.

Whether it’s a beloved series or a comfort movie, we’ve got you covered. Each selection on this list can be watched in a weekend. That is, of course, if you only indulge in one season of some of the shows. We’ll leave that decision to you and Netflix, but when it comes to binge watching we love a good taste test of a show to see if we want to keep going.

Now sit back, relax, and get your typing fingers ready, you’ll want to add these Netflix teen shows and movies to your watch list this weekend for some thrills, chills, and romance before school begins. Starting with the genderswapped remake of a ’90s teen romcom classic, He’s All That.

1. Netflix teen movies: He’s All That

Our first pick made its Netflix debut today, Friday, August 27 hence why it’s an easy choice for this list. Now, the stakes in He’s All That are centered on the promise of a social pariah usurping the Prom King crown with the help of an influencer, which places these teens further into their school year than real life ones, but it’s still a solid selection.

The movie follows Padgett Sawyer, a girl who’s It girl status has been shaken by her break-up going viral. To salvage her reputation, she takes on her friends’ bet that will see her turning Cameron Kweller, a social nobody into a popular somebody with a makeover and a push to stop hanging out on the sidelines.

Along the way, Padgett begins to question her feelings for Cameron. Is he really just a means to an end or could he be something more to her if she opens herself back up to love?
