New Netflix movies and shows coming in September 2021

We’ve seen so many good Netflix shows and movies this summer, and that big summer of Netflix new releases keeps on rolling in September 2021.

Netflix has another big month planned, especially on the TV side. We’re seeing a good mix of new Netflix originals and returning Netflix shows, along with some big TV shows.

Some of Netflix’s biggest shows are coming in September, including Money Heist, Lucifer, Sex Education, and Dear White People.

New Netflix shows

Money Heist season 5 part 1

The first half of the final season of Money Heist hits Netflix just in time for a long weekend on Friday, Sept. 3. The final episodes will be released on Friday, Dec. 3.

Lucifer season 6

Lucifer season 6 hits Netflix on Friday, Sept. 10. This is so much earlier than we thought we’d see the new season. Unfortunately, it is the final season, so you need to catch up!

Sex Education season 3

Sex Education season 3 is coming to Netflix on Friday, Sept. 17. The new season has been super-delayed. It was supposed to be released in early 2021, but the pandemic delayed filming for months. It doesn’t matter now, though. The new season is coming in mid-September!

Dear White People season 4

Dear White People season 4 is finally coming to Netflix on Wednesday, Sept. 22. Like Sex Education, Dear White People was also delayed because of the pandemic. Season 4 is also the final season of the Netflix series.

Midnight Mass

Mike Flanagan’s Midnight Mass is coming to Netflix on Friday, Sept. 24. If you like The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor, this is the show for you! It’s from the same creative team, and it has a bunch of the same cast.

New Netflix movies

Afterlife of the Party 

Afterlife of the Party hits Netflix on Sept. 2, 2021. It stars Victoria Justice and tells the story of a girl who dies and is sent back to earth to make amends for all of her wrongs.

Worth 

Worth stars Michael Keaton, Stanley Tucci, and Amy Ryan. The Netflix movie hits the streaming service on Sept. 3. You’ll definitely want to give this a watch!

Kate

There aren’t many Netflix movies coming in September, but Kate is! The new Netflix movie arrives on Sept. 10. It stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead. You need to check it out!

Nightbooks

Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter stars in Nightbooks, the first of many scary movies coming to Netflix just in time for Halloween 2021.
