Will Superman and Lois be on Netflix?

The season 1 finale of Superman and Lois aired on Aug. 17 on The CW, and fans already want to know where they can rewatch the action-packed superhero drama. Is our favorite superhero and journalist coming to Netflix?

Many people were skeptical when there were talks of a new superman series because Smallville was such a fan favorite that some people thought a new version couldn’t possibly compare. Well, Superman and Lois proved those people wrong.

The television series overall has garnered positive reviews from critics. Rotten Tomatoes gave Superman and Lois a score of 88%. Also, as reported by Deadline, the pilot episode was the most-watched series premiere ever on The CW.

So, if you haven’t been watching the sci-fi show as it’s been airing, you can wait until it releases on a streaming platform. But will we be able to watch season 1 of Superman and Lois on our No.1 streamer?

Is Superman and Lois coming to Netflix?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Superman and Lois on the streaming service. Netflix and The CW had a deal in 2011 where TV shows on the network would be available for streaming on Netflix sometime after their season finale aired.

However, in 2016, The CW chose not to renew their deal with Netflix and went on to shop their new shows to other streaming services. But, wait! There’s still a possibility that the superhero show could make its landing on Netflix.

If Netflix chooses to bid on Superman and Lois to stream on its platform and become the highest bidder, the television series could possibly end up on the streamer somewhere down the line. However, they would be competing with other streaming giants, and we don’t know if Netflix would want to put all their eggs in Superman and Lois‘s basket.

Where you can watch Superman and Lois

Superman and Lois will most likely be available to stream on HBO Max. HBO Max already has a lot of DC content on its platform, that it would make sense to add the superhero show to its library.

Also, if we remember correctly, the first five episodes of the new series were available to stream for a limited time on HBO Max before they were removed from the streamer. In this case, the show could be added again with its entire season since the season finale has already aired.

And let’s not forget that we’ve been seeing new CW shows being added to HBO Max. So, it’s very likely that Superman and Lois season 1 will soon be released on HBO Max. Stay tuned for more information on the series!
