Set It Up is one of the first successful Netflix adult romantic comedy. The film premiered in June 2018, and it kickstarted a run of successful Netflix romantic comedies.

The Netflix movie follows two personal assistants for high-level executives in New York City. Harper, played by Zooey Deutch, is trying to get her career going as a sportswriter, but she ends up working as the personal assistant for a sports media mogul, Kirsten, played by Lucy Liu. Charlie, played by Glen Powell, is stuck working for Rick, a womanizer, as Rick’s personal assistant.

Charlie and Harper hatch a plan to set their bosses up in a couple, so they can get some time off. The plan goes well initially, but you know what happens eventually, right?

I was really impressed with Deutch and Powell’s chemistry in this movie. The rest of the cast is quite good, too, including Pete Davidson, Jon Rudnitsky, Tituss Burgess, and Meredith Hagner.
