Vivo 2 release date updates: Will there be a sequel to the Netflix movie?

It came as no surprise that Vivo would make the Netflix Top 10 list. Everyone loves a good animated musical adventure, especially the kids. Currently, Vivo is at No. 2 on the list (Aug. 10, 2021).

Many families probably put Vivo on for the kids while they watched Netflix’s original series Hit and Run since they premiered on the same day. The animated film received positive reviews from critics, and Rotten Tomatoes gave Vivo a score of 86%. So I’d say that Vivo is a must-watch if you haven’t already seen the Netflix movie.

Since Vivo is doing so well, people are wondering if there will be a sequel to the film and when it’s coming to the streamer.

How many movies of Vivo are there?

Currently, there is only one Vivo film, and it’s available to stream now on Netflix.

Will there be Vivo 2?

Netflix has not confirmed if there’s going to be a Vivo 2. This is not surprising because Vivo just came out on Aug. 6. However, we’ve seen other animated musical films such as Sing release sequels, so there’s a good chance that Vivo 2 will happen. We’ll be sure to update you when Netflix releases this information.

How long will Vivo 2 be?

Assuming that Vivo 2 gets the green light, we expect the Netflix original movie to have a running time of somewhere areound 1 hour and 39 minutes, just like Vivo. It’s possible that it can run over a little longer because some animated sequels do.

Vivo 2 release date (expected)

As we mentioned earlier, Netflix has not confirmed that there will be a sequel, but if there is one, we predict that Vivo 2 will be released sometime in 2025. We’ve come to this conclusion because Vivo started production sometime in 2016 and was given a release date for 2020.

Of course, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it got pushed back to 2021. But this means that it took 4 years to make Vivo and get it finished. So since Vivo was released in 2021, four years from now would be 2025.

It’s possible we could see Vivo 2 sooner, but it all depends on how long everything takes.
