This year is going by in a flash, and we somehow find ourselves on the first weekend of August. Netflix has released an impressive list of new things for this month.
The Netflix Top 10 TV shows list looks very similar to last week. Outer Banks is holding strong at the No. 1 spot, followed by All American. Cocomelon just keeps hanging on, working its way up and down the list each week. Virgin River, Love is Blind After the Alter, The Flash and Manifest are still holding strong. This week, one new addition is the animated series Hunter x Hunter that now has six seasons available to stream.
Many of the Netflix original series are wonderful binge-watches for a weekend. We shared a few that you will like!
Stranger Things
The highly anticipated season 4 of the Netflix original series Stranger Things has been announced for 2022. This isn’t the news fans wanted to hear as they hoped for a 2021 release date, but in the meantime, you can binge the first three seasons to prepare yourself for what is to come.
Stranger Things is a sci-fi horror series created by the Duffer Brothers on Netflix. The series follows a group of kids in the ’80s who live in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. When one of their friends goes missing and strange things start to occur, it is obvious that there is more going on than meets the eye. The series has heavy supernatural elements mixed in with horror, sci-fi and investigative drama, making it a highly entertaining series.
Stranger Things is filled with heavy pop culture references from the era. The series even brings in some great 80s actors to add to the nostalgia. Winona Ryder, Matthew Modine, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser and Cary Elwes all become known in ’80s films.
