Now that Outer Banks fans have fully digested the unbelievable twists and turns of season 2, it’s time to look ahead to predict the future of our favorite — and least favorite — Pogues and Kooks in Outer Banks season 3. Without question, newly minted Pogue for life Sarah Cameron is one of our favorites.

Even though all of the characters in Outer Banks had a challenging go of it in season 2 (to say the least), Sarah might take the cake for the most traumatic turn of events. Not only did her own brother nearly kill her (more on that here), but she effectively lost her entire family.

Sarah dealt with the complicated emotions connected to the death of her father, as well as the shocking reappearance of said father, all the while grappling with the high-stakes treasure hunt hovering over her friends. To add salt to the wound, she and John B underwent difficult struggles.

But what can we expect for the former Kook princess in Outer Banks season 3 now that she has officially defected from the problematic Cameron dynasty? There’s so much in store for Sarah as the adventure continues for the Pogues, including a potential family reunion.

What’s next for Sarah in Outer Banks season 3?

Of course, since Outer Banks season 3 has yet to be confirmed, all of these details are mere prediction based on where Outer Banks season 2 left off. No plot details have been revealed, especially not those that give away the fate of the Pogues on Poguelandia.

Obviously, the Pogues escaped the Coastal Venture without the gold or the Cross of Santo Domingo in tow and landed on an island. Each of them have left something behind back at home or on that ship, whether it’s their family or their fortune, but Sarah’s life flipped upside down.

Over the course of the second season, she’s thrown an obscene amount of curveballs, from nearly dying via Rafe’s gunshot to mourning the complex loss of her father to breaking up with her soulmate. Surely, she will still be navigating all those emotions in season 3.

Now that she’s sticking with the Pogues, we can imagine she will continue to help the team track down Ward, Rafe and all the treasure they’re stealing to an undisclosed location. Obviously, we expect to Pogues to make it back home to the Outer Banks, but they will probably make a few dangerous pit stops beforehand.

Thankfully, John B and Sarah are back together, and the strength of their relationship will come in handy when John B learns about the game-changing reveal (you know the one!) at the end of the season. In fact, Sarah could even a few family reunions of her own in season 3.

No matter what, let’s hope that Sarah and the Pogues remain safe and steer clear of any alligators, wasps, storm drains, machetes and known killers next season. Stay tuned for more Outer Banks season 3 news and updates, and click through to the next page to find out if Sarah’s mom will appear in OBX season 3 on Netflix.
