Leonardo DiCaprio has been acting since the late 1980s when he first starred in tv commercials. The first film role that thrust him into the public eye was his portrayal of Arnie Grape in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape in 1993, which is available to stream on Netflix. From then, he would go on to amazing projects, making him one of the highest-paid actors ever.
DiCaprio is an actor, a film producer and an active environmentalist. He isn’t afraid to take on acting roles that are unconventional.
A new project for Dicaprio will be the Netflix original film. Don’t Look Up, which he co-leads with Jennifer Lawrence. The film is a dark comedy that will be released in 2021. Dicaprio and Lawrence play two low-level astronomers trying to warn mankind about an asteroid that will destroy Earth. The ensemble cast also includes Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, Jonah Hill, Ariana Grande, Chris Evans, Mark Rylance, Matthew Perry, Ron Perlman and Tyler Perry.
Currently, Netflix has six of DiCaprio’s films available to stream.

What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993) – This film is a drama about a small-town Iowa family and the eldest son Gilbert (Johnny Depp), shouldering the responsibility of his family. This includes caring for his brother, Arnie (Dicaprio).
Catch Me if You Can (2002) – A pseudo biographical crime film about Frank Abagnale, Jr. (DiCaprio), a con artist with a long list of crimes.
The Departed (2006) – A crime thriller about a Boston officer, Billy Costigan (DiCaprio), who goes undercover in Frank Costello’s (Jack Nicholson) organization.
Shutter Island (2010) – This psychological thriller follows Teddy Daniels (Dicaprio), a detective, and his new partner as they investigate the disappearance of a woman from a hospital on a remote island.
Inception (2010) – This science fiction film is about Dom Cobb (DiCaprio), a man who can enter other’s dreams.
Django Unchained (2012) – The Quentin Tarantino film follows Django (Jamie Foxx) is a freed slave who begins working with a bounty hunter, Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). They try to save Django’s wife, Hilde (Kerry Washington), from Calvin Candie (DiCaprio) and his plantation.
The above films show DiCaprio’s versatility as an actor, and all of these films are listed on Rotten Tomatoes’ list of DiCaprio’s films that were most critically and commercially successful.
