Best shows on Netflix

We are coming into the final weekend for July, but there is still plenty of time to enjoy the summer season. The weekends are a great time to kick back and watch some of the great features on Netflix.

This week the Netflix Top 10 TV shows list has a great lineup. Virgin River, Sex/Life and Manifest remain on the list along with Cocomelon, which I don’t think has ever left the list. New additions include Love is Blind and Flash. The wildly popular Netflix original series Outer Banks has just released its second season, and it is right back on the top 10 list.

Next, we will give you some great recommendations for your weekend binging.

The Walking Dead

This week, Netflix released season 10 of the long-running apocalyptic series The Walking Dead. The series is currently filming the final season, with the premiere set for August 22. Until then, you can binge the current season or perhaps revisit the whole series on Netflix.

Season 10 was extended due to the pandemic giving fans 22 episodes total for that season. The first part of the season focused on the Whisperer War with Alpha (Samantha Morton) and her horde of skin-wearing Whisperers.

The bonus season, called 10c, featured 6 character-centric episodes that didn’t build the main storyline all that much but was an interesting deep-dive into some of the main characters. One of the most popular episodes in this bonus season was “Here’s Negan.” This episode focused on one of the worst villains in the franchise, Negan Smith (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). This served as an origin story of sorts and gave some great insight into what made him into such a vile human being.

The series will end, but there are currently two spin-off series with more planned for the future and some movies.

Outer Banks

The Netflix original series Outer Banks released its second season this week and fans of the series have gone wild about it.

The second season will pick up where season one left off. You can see from the official trailer that this season will be as good, if not better than the previous one.

The main cast consists of Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Charles Esten and Drew Starkey.
