New Netflix movies and shows coming in August 2021

August 2021 is looking like another incredible month for new Netflix movies and shows, especially for fans of Netflix originals.

It’s hard to follow July after fans will see new seasons of Virgin River, Outer Banks, Never Have I Ever, Atypical and watch new movies like Gunpowder Milkshake and all three Fear Street movies. But, there are some really big movies and shows coming during the month of August.

There are some big Netflix movies on the way in August paired with a couple of big Netflix shows. Interestingly, we’re also seeing some popular NBC shows returning in August that we thought would remain on Peacock for the foreseeable future.

New Netflix movies

The Kissing Booth 3

The final movie of The Kissing Booth trilogy arrives on Netflix on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021. In the movie, we’ll see Elle (Joey King), Lee (Joel Courtney), Noah (Jacob Elordi), and the rest of the characters in the final summer before college. Elle has some big decisions to make!

Beckett

Beckett is a new Netflix action movie starring John David Washington. It tells the story of a man wrongfully accused of a crime, a major coverup, and his attempts to clear his name. His name is Beckett, and the movie hits Netflix on Aug. 13.

Sweet Girl 

Sweet Girl stars Jason Momoa and Isabel Merced. The new Netflix movie hits the streaming service on Aug. 20. In the movie, Momoa plays a father and husband who is out for revenge.

He’s All That

He’s All That is coming to Netflix on Aug. 27. The Netflix movie is based on the hit 1999 movie, She’s All That. The new movie stars Addison Rae and Cobra Kai’s Tanner Buchanan.

We have a feeling a few of these movies will be added to the list of the best Netflix movies to watch right now.

Friday Night Lights and 30 Rock two very popular shows are also coming to Netflix in August. You can watch both movies on Aug. 1.
