Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more

Netflix’s latest young adult series Fate: The Winx Saga, which is sure to be a big hit with Harry Potter fans, offers up an incredibly entertaining and spellbinding fantasy drama leaving many to wonder if Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 is on the agenda. The show follows five fairies attending a magical boarding school in the Otherworld known as Alfea is an enchanting affair, and it’s no wonder people are curious if there will be another installment.

The exciting endeavor was created by The Vampire Diaries’ own Brian Young and is based on the Nickelodeon Italian cartoon Winx Club. The streaming service original series six-episode first season has become a chart-topping affair on Netflix’s daily top 10, showcasing how well the show has resonated with fans leaving the anticipation for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 at an all-time high.

Netflix officially renewed Fate: The Winx Saga for season 2 on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021. There will be an additional two episodes in the new season.

Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 release date

It’s anyone’s guess when the release date for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 could arrive, but if one had to guess when the exciting occasion would occur would be some time in early 2022. That’s just a mix of wishful thinking and speculation at this point.

According to an earlier report from Variety, production on season 2 was slated to begin sometime in 2021. Netflix announced on Twitter on July 20 that the second season finally started production. Although it’s unclear how long filming will last, it’s sure to continue throughout the summer and fall, making way for The Winx Saga season 2 to be released on Netflix in 2022.

Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 cast

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Abigail Cowen, who plays Bloom, will most assuredly be back for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2. Elisha Applebaum, Eliot Salt, and Precious Mustapha, according to the Variety report.

Others that should return include Hannah van der Westhuysen, Danny Griffin, Rob James-Collier, Kate Fleetwood, Alex MacQueen, Lesley Sharp, Freddie Thorp, Jacob Dudman, among many other talented individuals. Eve Best, who plays Farah, did not survive season one, so it’s unlikely she’ll be back for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2.

Along with Netflix’s announcement that filming on season 2 had begun, the streamer also welcomed three new members of the cast. Brandon Grace will play Grey, Éanna Hardwicke will play Sebastian and Paulina Chávez will play Flora. Check them out in the set photos above!

Netflix has yet to release any kind of plot details or synopsis for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2, and it will be interesting to see what will happen should the fantasy drama get another run.

Rosalind has gotten away with murder from snapping Farrah’s neck after she was released by Bloom and has cast a dark cloud over Alfea college. Silva is in custody for the attempted murder of Andreas, who isn’t even dead, and according to Rosalind, War is coming leaving a lot of great things set to occur in Fate: The Winx Saga season 2.

There is no trailer for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2, and fans of the fanatical Netflix original series should not expect any promo or preview for the next iteration any time shortly. It seems customary for the streaming service to release a trailer much closer to the release date, and that’s probably what will happen with the sequel set of episodes.
