How to watch the Twilight movies in order (and where to watch)

Even though it’s been nearly a decade since the Twilight movies came to an end with the second part of Breaking Dawn in 2012, the Twilight Saga remains a beloved piece of pop culture.

Based on the book series of the same name by Stephenie Meyer, Twilight centers on average teenager Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, who moves in with her father in Forks, Washington, where she meets the enigmatic vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).

Of course, the book series and the film saga traces Bella’s journey through her first love with Edward and all of the danger that entails, as well as her relationship with werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner).

Luckily, fans of the Twilight movies will have an opportunity to bask in the nostalgia of the fantasy romance franchise and relive all the magic and cringe of the insanely popular young adult film series. Here’s where to watch all five movies in order.

Does Netflix have the Twilight movies?

As of August 2023, Netflix doesn’t currently have any of the five Twilight movies. Back in July 2021, all five movies hit the streaming service and hit a second wind of popularity. Because of the fickle nature of movies coming to streaming services, we aren’t sure when or if the Twilight Saga will call Netflix home again, but fingers crossed!

Where to watch the Twilight movies in order

Currently, Peacock has all five of the movies ready to add to your watch list and stream. But if you’re a newcomer to the saga, or you just need some brushing up since your teen days, you might be wondering what order to watch the movies in. Stream at your leisure or follow the correct order. Here are the Twilight movies in order:

Twilight (2008)

In the first movie, Bella Swan moves to Forks, Washington with her father and goes to a new school in the rainy town, where she meets the mysterious Cullen family. When she forges a connection with Edward and begins dating him, she discovers the family’s vampire secret. Suddenly, she becomes the target of a group of rogue vampires in town.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)

In the second movie in the saga, Bella’s 18th birthday looms, but when another event occurs and puts Bella’s life in danger, Edward and the Cullens leave Forks. For months, Bella’s breakup with Edward leaves her depressed, but she grows closer with Jacob and discovers his own secret that he’s a werewolf. New Moon takes Bella to Italy to help save Edward from the Volturi, and she later considers becoming a vampire herself.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)

In the third movie, Bella finds herself caught between Edward and Jacob as Victoria returns to Forks to get revenge on Bella. Eclipse also sees Bella’s fate as a human receiving an ominous update from Jane (Dakota Fanning), one of the Volturi, and she must make a decision about her future and who she wants to end up with — and who she wants to become.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011)

In the first part of the final chapter, Bella and Edward prepare for their romantic wedding and honeymoon, but a wrench is thrown in their plans when Bella becomes pregnant before she’s turned into a vampire. The baby siphons her strength, forcing the transformation in the iconic end sequence of Breaking Dawn — Part 1.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012)

The final movie picks up in the aftermath of Bella giving birth to Renesmee and her consequent transformation into a vampire, which each take a bit of an adjustment for Bella. While Jacob imprints on Renesmee, the Cullen family and their friends and allies rally for a battle against the Volturi when they discover the existence of a half-vampire, half-mortal child.
