Fear Street Part 3: 1666 is coming to Netflix on July 16. What is the third movie in the franchise about? Here’s everything you need to know going into it.

We started in 1994 and then we got to see the events of 1978. It’s time to head back to Shadyside, but this time, back to the very beginning. It’s time to find out how the curse began, which will hopefully tell Deena how to remove the curse in the present day.

Before you start watching the movie, you’ll want to know what to expect. You’ll want to know if it’s going to be right for you.

Of course, if you’ve watched the first two movies already, you’ll already get an idea of what to expect in Fear Street Part 3: 1666. After all, the first two movies brought homages to some of the best horror movies of the past as well as the nostalgia of the times.

What is Fear Street Part 3: 1666 about?

The story takes us back to the beginning. During Fear Street Part 3: 1666, we’ll get to see the small colonial village and the superstitions of the past. As the town is filled with superstition and fear, a witch hunt begins.

We already know that Sarah Fier was burned hung as a witch. We know that it was her death that led to the curse on Shadyside. Deena may have found everything needed to bring an end to the curse. Before that happens, though, Deena will head into the past to give us the story.

Meanwhile, the group in 1994 will need to work out how to bring an end to the curse. Sam’s time is running out and they’ll need to do everything they can to save her.

Previous movies have been filled with music of the time. It’s going to be interesting to see the music used in 1666, along with the homages paid throughout.
