Virgin River season 3 spoilers: Does Jack die in Virgin River season 3?

When we last left the quaint town of Virgin River, there were a lot of shocking developments left up in the air to be addressed in Virgin River season 3.

While the season 2 finale was filled with several cliffhangers to keep fans talking during the offseason, there was no bigger cliffhanger than the one involving the fate of Jack.

To recap, in the season 2 finale, Mel and Jack finally got back together and were ready to give their relationship a real shot after overcoming the hurdles season 2 threw their way. All seemed to be good in the world until Mel arrived at Jack’s bar in the final moments of the season to discover Jack passed out on the floor surrounded by a pool of blood after suffering a gunshot wound.

Does Jack die in Virgin River?

From the moment season 2 came to an end, fans have been waiting to discover whether Jack would survive his near-death experience or if Mel was about to suffer yet another major loss. It was the biggest burning question heading into Virgin River season 3 and, fortunately, the writers did not waste any time in revealing Jack’s fate in the season 3 premiere.

So did Jack live or die?

As you might have predicted, Jack did not die as the result of the gunshot wound he suffered in the season 2 finale. Following a small time jump, we discover that Jack made it to the hospital in time and has since fully recovered from his accident.

Given how crucial a role he plays in the show, we weren’t too surprised that the writers allowed Jack to live but needless to say we definitely breathed a sigh of relief the moment we knew with certainty that Jack did not die in Virgin River‘s season 3 premiere!
