Sex Education

Every so often, there’s a conversation about the most underrated Netflix shows. Because with the amount of originals the streamer releases each year — heck, month! — some understandably slip through the cracks among the popular behemoths like Stranger Things and Lucifer. But the cult favorite teen drama Sex Education shouldn’t be one of those underrated shows.

Sex Education was created by Laurie Nunn and stars Asa Butterfield as an insecure high school student named Otis Milburn. Because his mother, Jean (Gillian Anderson), works as a renown sex therapist, she doesn’t have trouble inserting her advice and interference in the personal life of her inexperienced son. However, Otis looks to bank on his mom’s expertise by starting a sex advice business.

Each of the show's seasons brings something new to the table for its beloved characters, while explore the ins and outs of their relationships. It's a fan-favorite for a reason, and that extends beyond the show's various ships that you just can't help but root for. There just might not be anything quite like it in the teen drama landscape.

Not only is the critically acclaimed teen series one of the sexiest on Netflix, it’s also one of the most real, bringing honesty and humor to the themes and subjects often synonymous with teen shows. If you have been putting off a binge-watch of Sex Education, don’t wait any longer to watch the complete series --- all four seasons --- now on Netflix.
