There’s no getting around it: Sex/Life just might be the hands-down sexiest show on Netflix’s roster. It certainly blows other Netflix original series like What/If, Easy, and Bonding out of the water with its no-holds-barred approach to portraying the sexual adventures and frustration of a desperate housewife.
Based on the book 44 Chapters About 4 Men by BB Easton, Sex/Life stars Sarah Shahi as Billie Connelly, a wife and mother of two small children, who’s suddenly grown restless in her comfortable life in the suburbs with her lackluster sex life with her husband Cooper (Mike Vogel).
While writing in her journal, Billie fantasizes about the heat she shared with former beau Brad (Adam Demos), leading her formerly simple life to rapidly unravel as she seeks to reclaim the sexual liberation and passion she once enjoyed pre-marriage and motherhood.
Obviously, Sex/Life can’t boast that kind of title without really going for it and leaving no stone unturned. Fair warning, the sex scenes and nudity are graphic and will make even the most mature viewers blush a little. Starring a real-life couple at the center of its torrid love triangle, this is one binge-watch that might be too hot to handle. Both seasons of the series are available to stream on Netflix.
