With fans waiting for the new season of Stranger Things to be released, show star Sadie Sink had some encouraging words that have us thinking that the wait will be worth it in the end.

Stranger Things season 4 is currently still in production, but recent comments from Cara Buono and David Harbour indicate filming could be coming to an end soon.

In a recent interview with Collider, Sink talked about the upcoming season and what challenges she faced filming season 4 of the Netflix original hit series.

"“So we started filming Season 4, I don’t even know when it was, but it was before the pandemic and then we got like a month of filming done, then we had to stop for I guess seven or eight months, and then we came back to work and things were completely different. So I think the real challenging part was just adjusting to the new rules and the regulations that were in place on set. That was a big adjustment. But yeah, I think we were all just so grateful to be able to work. And we’ve been working for a while now and creating something really amazing.”"

Sink also discussed how big season 4 could be.

"“The scale of the show just gets bigger and bigger each year so yeah, it’s just been really incredible to see where they’re going with the storyline. It’s really amazing this year. And just how the stakes are just so much higher. Higher than they’ve ever been.”"

The good news for all of the Sadie Sink fans out there, you don’t have to wait long to see her back on Netflix! Sink is starring in the new Fear Street trilogy, particularly Fear Street Part 2:1978 that will be releasing on July 9, 2021.

Also, for all of the Stranger Things fans out there, you make get a similar vibe with Fear Street as Sink shared that a lot of the same people behind the camera are also involved with Stranger Things as well.

With the stakes being higher than they have ever been according to Sink, there’s a question that still remains on everybody’s mind.

When will Stranger Things 4 be released?

It’s hard to say. Stranger Things season 4 has been in production now for over a year, and fans are curious on when they will get to see it hit Netflix.

There was some good news recently that we were able to share with fans involving a cast member and the state of production.

On a recent Instagram post, Cara Buono, who plays Karen Wheeler, stated that she had wrapped filming for her character and was departing from the set.

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, David Harbour said that filming would wrap sometime in August 2021, which is interesting because we have heard the August 2021 date before.

There’s no official way of knowing just how far along production is, but if I was a betting man, August seems like a good time for the show to officially wrap on season 4.

Unfortunately, a 2021 release date sound very unlikely to happen. If I had to guess, January or February of 2022 seems like a safe bet.
