The Twilight movies are coming to Netflix: July 16

It’s almost time to crank up “Decode” by Paramore and turn the clock back to 2008, which all former “Twihards” will be doing when all five Twilight Saga movies come to Netflix in July 2021. That’s right, this summer, we’ll have the chance to relive the glory days of the vampire vs. werewolf love story that had pop culture wrapped around its sparkly finger.

Based on the series of books by Stephenie Meyer, Twilight stars Kristen Stewart as brooding teenager Bella Swan, who moves in with her estranged father in the remote town of Forks, Washington. Soon, she falls for the mysterious Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a vampire, and becomes entangled in his world, which includes an evil coven coming after them.

Twilight spawned four more films based on each book in the series, including New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, which was split into two separate movies. The hold this young adult franchise held over pop culture, the box office and the world hasn’t been replicated since, following the success of both Harry Potter and The Hunger Games.

Thankfully, a new generation will be able to revel in the camp of the romantic fantasy saga when all five — yes, it bears repeating… all five! — of the multi-billion dollar grossing movies come to Netflix this summer. If you’re up for a dose of nostalgia yourself, here’s when you can reunite with Bella and choose between Team Edward and Team Jacob with new eyes.

When is Twilight coming to Netflix?

Journey back to Forks on July 16 when Twilight and its sequels debut on Netflix. The 2008 cult classic film will begin streaming at 12:01 a.m. PT on Netflix, and we know plenty of grown-up Twihards will burn the midnight oil for Edward and/or Jacob.

But we’re not just getting the original movie that started it all. On July 16, we will also be able to watch The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

Of course, while we’re all excited to dive into the popular film series, which has since been reclaimed with viral memes on TikTok, you never know how long the complete saga will be streaming on Netflix. Be sure not to miss these throwbacks in July.
