Sailor Moon Crystal is coming to Netflix: July 1
By Sabrina Reed
Moonies, get ready! Sailor Moon Crystal is coming to Netflix on Thursday, July 1. Mark your calendars because the day after Usagi Tsukino’s birthday is going to be cause for a celebratory binge!
It’s welcome news for fans who enjoyed Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie, which covers the Dream Arc from the manga where the guardians fight against Nehelenia and the Dark Moon Circus.
The two-part movie serves as a fourth season for the anime, so if you’re looking to view the first three seasons of the show then look no further than Netflix (though it’s also available on Hulu and Crunchyroll).
Sailor Moon Crystal is a departure from the ’90s anime as this series leans hard into Naoko Takeuchi’s storytelling in the original manga. But it’s no less fun, action-packed, and romantic.
Here’s when you can watch Sailor Moon punish evil do-ers in the name of the Moon!
What time can you watch Sailor Moon Crystal on Netflix?
Sailor Moon Crystal will land on Netflix to fight against the forces of chaos on Thursday, July 1 at 12:01 a.m. PT.
It’s fitting considering the wee hours of the morning tend to be crime fighters’ working hours anyway. There’s something about evil and committing dastardly deeds under the cover of night that’s alluring to those that walk on the dark side.
As for our guardians, well, between school work, hanging out at Crown arcade, bickering, the occasional feud and their day-to-day lives, they’ve got their plates full. Too bad saving the world doesn’t come with some kind of time management tool — Usagi could sure use one.
If you’re on the East Coast, it’ll be an even later land, unfortunately. At 3:01 a.m. ET Sailor Moon Crystal, in all its glory, will be available to stream. So, whether you stay up, set your alarm or wait until a reasonable hour to binge, the series will be right there waiting for you on Netflix.
