What will happen to Eleven in Stranger Things season 4?

Since the end of Stranger Things season 3, fans have been wondering what’s next for Eleven in Stranger Things season 4.

Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, is the most iconic character in a Netflix original series. There’s simply no Netflix character more recognizable or more well-known than Eleven.

We’ve seen so much happen with Eleven in Stranger Things. It’s hard to believe there have only been 25 episodes of this great Netflix show.

As we get closer to the Stranger Things season 4 release date, we’re going to take a look back at what happened to Eleven in Stranger Things season 3 and then look ahead to Stranger Things season 4 on Netflix and what’s going to happen with Eleven.

Why did Eleven lose her powers?

Stranger Things season 3 was as tough on Eleven as pretty much any surviving character from the season. We saw Eleven battle an army of the Flayed, who were then mashed together into a mega-Shadow Monster in Hawkins. Eleven defeated the monster once, but after getting “bit” by the monster, Eleven’s powers waned at the end of the season until they were virtually nonexistent during the final battle and beyond.

So, Eleven loses her powers. It’s not quite clear why, but she also believes, like everyone else, that Hopper was killed while saving everyone and closing the gate in the Russian base under the Starcourt Mall.

By the end of the season, Eleven’s powers have not returned, and Eleven, who is now living with Joyce, Will, and Jonathan, moves from Hawkins to an unknown location.

We still don’t know why Eleven loses her powers, but there are many theories. It’s possible that she was simply worn out after fighting such a big monster. It’s also possible that the monster’s presence in Eleven’s leg messed with the frequency that she uses to access the void and move things with her mind.

That’s probably the best theory out there, though there are others that make sense.

Where do things stand for Eleven at the end of Stranger Things season 3?

Eleven is power-less — but not powerless of course! — and on her way to a new home with the Byers family. She also believes that Hopper was killed. In reality, he’s stuck in a Russian prison on the otherside of the world.
