Netflix’s Geeked Week is cranking out all kinds of new information. One highly-anticipated Netflix original series, Stranger Things, has announced some new cast members. Among them is Regina Ting Chen, who will play Ms. Kelly in the fourth and final season of the series.

Other new cast members and characters are Amybeth McNulty, who will play Vickie, a band nerd who will catch the eye of a character we already know. Myles Truitt will join the cast as Patrick, whose good life will be shattered when shocking events come his way. Grace Van Dien will play Chrissy, a cheerleader with a ‘perfect’ life that holds a dark secret.

Chen’s character is a counselor at Hawkins who truly cares about her students, especially those who struggle.

Chen has kept her age under wraps; her exact age and birthdate are not listed online. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, grew up in Texas and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended the University of Texas in Austin, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Business in 2010; this could mean she is in her early 30s. It was during her time at UT where she discovered acting and modeling.

Chen’s previous roles include playing Chandler Tong on Black Lightning, Catherine Naki on Queen of the South and a reporter on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.  She also had a small role in the most recent film in The Conjuring series, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.

In addition to acting and coaching H.I.I.T. kickboxing, Chen is also an artist who paints acrylic portraits of people’s pets. She has never taken a class, but her work is amazing. Her website features a gallery of her work as well as options to order some of it.
