The Crown

The Netflix original series The Crown is an intimate look into the royal and personal life of Queen Elizabeth II. This series has released 4 seasons with a fifth and sixth to follow that will close out the story venturing into the Queen’s 21st-century reign.

The cast has been changed throughout the series to allow for the passing of time in the storyline. We’ve seen Queen Elizabeth II in childhood and beyond. This series gives fans of the royal family a glimpse into the lavish lifestyle they lead and a look into what it takes to part of the monarchy.

Claire Foy and Olivia Colman have played the Queen, and both actresses have done justice to the portrayal of one of the world’s most iconic figures. Critics have praised this series for its acting, writing, directing, and cinematography. One area that has been scrutinized is the historical accuracy of the storyline, especially where it relates to Princess Diana. But, overall, this series is an amazing accomplishment and worth the watch.
