What is Rust Creek about?

When Rust Creek was added to Netflix back in 2020, the movie landed on the Netflix Top 10 for an impressive amount of time.

It’s not a surprise that the 2018 film did so well on Netflix, especially considering the fact that the film garnered a good amount of critical acclaim by winning the award for ‘Best Thriller’ at the San Diego International Film Festival.

What is Rust Creek about?

All it took was a wrong turn for Sawyer to end up kidnapped by a couple of dangerous hooligans in the woods. Now a captive, Sawyer must try to escape from these two in one piece while detectives attempt to close in on her whereabouts.

Will she be able to escape with her life or will her simple mistake prove to be a deadly one? More on the official synopsis for the film, via Netflix:

"A wrong turn in the woods becomes a fight for her life when a career-seeking college student runs into two outlaw brothers looking to cook up trouble."

The cast for this thriller film features actress Hermione Corfield as Sawyer, Sean O’Bryan as O’Doyle, Daniel R. Hill as Buck, Micah Hauptman as Hollister, Jeremy Glazer as Katz, John Marshall Jones as Slattery, and Mad Men actor Jay Paulson as Lowell.
